Turn off the console and unplug the cable. 3. Remove plastic case from the right side and unscrew the blue screw. 4. Remove the caddy and unscrew all of it. 5. Install new HDD and rescrew it back. 6. Rescrew the blue screw and put back the plastic case.
Thanks in advance. I think that it's a bit odd that the RSX temp is getting so much higher than the CPU. I also have a super slim and my CPU is generally between 57 and 63 C depending on how long it's been running and what game I have been playing. The RSX on mine is consistently a few degrees warmer than the CPU though and is usually between
Step 4. Lift up the metal lever. Slide the hard drive towards the front of the case. Pull it straight up and out of the unit. This is all you need to do to access the PS3's hard drive. Add a comment.
ThrillKillFan 6 years ago #4. Yep. I had a super slim PS3 go YLOD on me within six months of opening it. Unfortunately I had bought it so cheap compared to the standard MSRP at the time ($100 vs. $219.99) that I just packed it away and figured it'd be fine once I got around to using it. Yeah with the super slims models, when you press the eject button the lid will slide open by itself and then you have to manually close it. If your eject button button doesn't do that, then it means that the sliding mechanism/gears broke off. This is a fairly common issue on super slims. I would suggest returning it and getting a slim model
